Privacy

Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't use tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.

When you browse

We use Cloudflare to host the site. Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve pages and block attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. We also count page views and newsletter sign-up clicks ourselves, recording only the page, the site that linked to it, any campaign tags in the link, which sign-up form was used and your country. We don't store your IP address or use cookies for this.

Some preferences are saved in your own browser and never sent to us: light or dark mode, your progress on Start here, and whether you've unlocked the free prompt pack.

The Prompt Builder

Everything you type into the Prompt Builder stays in your browser. It isn't sent to us or to any AI company.

The newsletter

The newsletter runs on Substack. When you subscribe, your email address goes to Substack, which processes it under its own privacy policy. We can see your email address and basic statistics such as whether an issue was opened. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email and payment details; we never see your full card number. We keep your email address, what you bought and the order reference, stored with Cloudflare, so we can deliver your download and handle refunds.

Earlier email sign-ups

If you asked for a report from this site's earlier assessment tool before October 2026, we still hold the email address and answers you gave. We won't use them for anything new. Use the unsubscribe link in any of those emails, or ask us to delete them.

Who processes data for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting, security, order records, delivery emails and analytics
  • Substack: the newsletter
  • Stripe: payments

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States.
